Sigma Lens 24-70mm T2.8 DG DN II Art | Sony E
new.png
SIGMA57A965

Sigma 24-70 F/2.8 DG DN II Art Lens with Sony E Mount. Sigma's flagship lens for the Sony E-mount, the 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art, features an advanced optical design that delivers exceptional sharpness, resolution, and a compact form. Compared to its predecessor, the DG DN II Art offers faster autofocus, an aperture ring with click stops, and a minimum focusing distance of just 17 cm, making this updated model ideal for photographers seeking versatility without compromising on quality.

  • Super compact zoom lens with 24mm wide angle to 70mm telephoto
  • Sony E mount
  • Full frame | f/2.8 to f/22
  • HLA autofocus
  • Minimum focusing distance: 17 cm
  • Aperture ring with click stops and lockable controls
  • FLD, SLD, and aspherical elements
  • Dust and splash resistant

Advanced Optical Design

Six "F" Low Dispersion (FLD), two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, and five aspherical elements reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing across the zoom range, improving clarity and color accuracy. In addition to superior optical performance, the five aspherical elements contribute to the lens's compact structure with their thin and highly polarized design. The lens’s fast f/2.8 aperture and rounded 11-blade diaphragm create a large, beautiful bokeh effect. Multi-layer anti-reflective and protective nano coatings have been applied to the lens elements to minimize flare and ghosting, resulting in contrast-rich and color-neutral images, even in backlit conditions. The lens is designed to reduce focus shift as the angle of view changes across the zoom range, ensuring natural focus transitions during video recording.

A high-response actuator linear motor (HLA) provides focusing speeds more than three times faster than its predecessor. In wide-angle mode, the minimum focusing distance has been improved to 17 cm with a maximum magnification of 1:2.7, making it suitable for close-up photography or working in confined spaces.

Despite having the same number of lens elements, the overall length of the lens has been shortened to 12.2 cm compared to the previous model, and the weight has been reduced to 725 g. The aperture ring features both click and lockable settings for improved handling during use. The sturdy internal structure includes metal parts for the zoom mechanism, while the exterior is equipped with rubber seals at the mount to protect the lens from dust and moisture. Two integrated AF-L buttons can be programmed to adjust various settings, and the lens also includes a dedicated AF/MF switch and a zoom lock button to prevent accidental extension of the lens barrel.

SIGMA Lens 28-105 T2.8 DG DN Art | Sony-E
new.png
SIGMA636965

The SIGMA 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN Art, Sony-E mount, is not an ordinary standard zoom lens. With focal lengths from wide-angle to medium telephoto and a large aperture of F2.8 throughout the zoom range, this full-frame lens for mirrorless systems combines outstanding optical performance with excellent build quality and pro features. The lens is built to handle different subjects and situations, from grand landscapes in low light to portraits with big, beautiful bokeh. Thanks to SIGMA's latest optical technology and the use of large elements, including FLD, SLD and five aspherical elements, the lens delivers crystal clear images with outstanding sharpness.

  • Aperture F2.8 throughout the zoom range
  • Sony-E mount
  • Close limit 40 cm through the entire zoom range
  • Minimal focus breathing
  • High Speed Focus Motor (HLA)
  • Light and compact, only 995 g
  • Dust and splash-proof construction
  • 2 AFL buttons
  • Aperture ring with click switch and Lock button
  • Focus mode switch

Linear HLA motor for fast and accurate autofocus

The lens is equipped with a HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) linear motor that delivers maximum operating speed, ensuring responsive, precise and smooth autofocus. Thanks to silent operation, the motor is also ideal for video recording without disturbing noise.

Aperture ring with improved ergonomics

For quick exposure changes, or for a more traditional shooting style, the lens is equipped with a dedicated aperture ring that allows the user to change the aperture through the lens if desired. A click switch for the aperture ring is a useful tool for cinematographers, and a lock button helps prevent the aperture ring from being changed accidentally.

Two AFL buttons

The placement of two programmable AFL buttons, on the side and top of the lens barrel, makes them easily accessible in both horizontal and vertical shooting modes, providing improved ergonomics.

Aperture f/2.8 - Perfect for portraits and low light

With fast apertures throughout the focal length range, the SIGMA 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN Art is a true workhorse that can be used for almost any type of photography. Landscape photographers can take wide-angle shots of landscapes and use the F2.8 aperture for shooting low-light or cityscapes at dusk, while the middle focal lengths handle poorly lit documentary subjects and street photography, allowing shutter speeds that are a step faster than comparable lenses.
The popular portrait focal lengths 85mm and 105mm in combination with the maximum aperture of F2.8, provide a short depth of field that impressively isolates the subject against large and beautiful bokeh.

Superior optical performance throughout the zoom and focus range

SIGMA 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN | Art performs without compromise, effectively counteracting aberrations in every lens group and throughout the zoom and focal range. This ensures that the lens has a consistent performance even with such a long zoom range. This is possible thanks to the lens' advanced optical design, which includes two FLD, one SLD and five aspherical elements. The first group uses a large-format element of Ø66.4mm which is extremely difficult to produce and only possible thanks to SIGMA's advanced manufacturing technology at their production facility in Aizu, Japan.

Zoom lock

The lens is equipped with a zoom lock that holds the zoom mechanism in position at the widest focal length, preventing it from being accidentally shifted by its own weight when carried. The lock can be released with the switch or by turning the zoom ring for a faster and more flexible workflow.

Weatherproof construction for challenging conditions

The lens has a dust- and splash-proof construction that protects it against dirt and moisture in tough outdoor environments. The front lens is also coated with a water- and oil-resistant coating that helps keep it clean in difficult shooting conditions.

Smart design means less weight

F2.8 constant aperture zoom lenses can be heavy but by optimizing the design and materials of every part of the SIGMA 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN | Art, SIGMA has managed to achieve an impressively low weight of less than 1 kg. Using magnesium alloy instead of aluminum for the lens tube around the mount has reduced the weight of these parts by two-thirds, while maintaining rigidity.

Unique optical quality for a zoom lens

Thanks to unique construction with 5 SLD elements and 3 aspherical elements, aberrations are rigorously corrected. Axial chromatic aberration, which is particularly noticeable with large aperture lenses, is minimized and the lens produces clear images with minimal color cast, from sharply focused details to large, smooth bokeh.

Minimal focus breathing

The lens is essential for filmmakers who require consistent framing and has been designed to keep focus breathing to a minimum. This ensures that any changes to the angle of view due to focus drift are minimized across the entire zoom range, ensuring focus pull.
