B+W ND Filter ND106 52 mm, six f-stops. With its light reduction by six f-stops this filter allows even more extreme experiments. This includes time-exposure effects such as light trails, flowing effects for moving water or walking people who become indistinct in soft focus. A physically induced higher red transmission produces a slightly warm tone. If necessary, this can be eliminated by white balance or an image processing program. The filter factor is 64 which gives an extension of the exposure by 6 EV (ND 1.8). B+W gray filters are made of neutral gray Schott NG glass. The filter glass blocks the entire visible spectrum and reduces the amount of light without affecting contrast or colors. Gray filter is used both indoors and outdoors when you want a larger aperture or longer shutter speed. In addition, gray filters are often used when you want to "empty" a place on e.g. people in front of a building. A powerful gray filter gives such a long shutter speed that only buildings and other static objects "get stuck" in the image. It can also have tremendous effects for waterfalls or when you want to make an ocean or lake look magical and diffuse.
Anti-reflective coating (Singel coating)
The front and back of the filter glass have a layer of anti-reflective coating. Single coating reduces light loss and reduces reflections and optical rod effects compared to an untreated filter glass.
F-Pro Filter mount
F-Pro brass filter mount, thickness 5 mm. Can be used on most lenses down to 24 mm, format 24 x 36, without vignetting occurring.
