When you set the output power on the Elinchrom, the set strength is shown with a number on the flash's display (or in the app if you control via smartphone). This Elinchrom number series is common to all models, regardless of the flash model's maximum output power. So if you know that you mainly shoot with the flash set to power 2.9 to 3.7, you can check that the flash model you wish to buy can be set to the same number. Brilliant!
