Elinchrom Transmitter Pro Sony. Elinchrom Transmitter Pro for Sony is an advanced transmitter that triggers and controls Elinchrom studio flashes. The clear display shows the set output power of activated flashes, and each unit can be controlled individually or as a group. Depending on the flash model*, you can choose Hi-Sync (HS) or High-Speed Sync (HSS) for seamless flash synchronization down to 1/8000 second! Switching between manual flash control and TTL automation is done with a simple button press (applies to Elinchrom TTL flash models).
Simple and Inspiring Photography with Transmitter Pro
Transmitter Pro has features designed by photographers, for photographers. An LCD display shows the set output power for up to 10 Elinchrom flashes, and each unit can be controlled individually or in groups. The range is up to 200 meters outdoors and approximately 60 meters indoors.
Hi-Sync or High-Speed Sync - Seamless Flash Synchronization down to 1/8000 second
Elinchrom has flash models* adapted for HS (Hi-Sync) and other models adapted for HSS (High-Speed Sync). With Transmitter Pro, both sync techniques can be easily controlled, allowing the photographer to focus entirely on subjects and lighting.
Manual Flash Control or TTL Automation
Elinchrom flash models with built-in TTL can be controlled either with TTL automation or manual flash control, with the switch made by a simple button press. In TTL Mode, flash control is automatic, and flash adjustment can be made in 1/3 f-stop increments up or down. This type of flash control is excellent for event photography, among other applications. In Manual Mode, the flash is controlled entirely manually in 1/10, 1/2, or 1/1 f-stop increments. This technique is often preferred when using multiple flashes in the same lighting setup.
Large LCD Display
Transmitter Pro communicates bidirectionally, displaying the set output power of the flashes on the remote control's clear LCD display. Flash power and modeling light intensity can be adjusted separately, in groups, or collectively.
Range 200 meters
Outdoors, the range is up to 200 meters, and indoors it's about 60 meters. Thanks to 20 channels, Transmitter Pro can be set for interference-free communication.
What is HS?
HS stands for Hi-Sync, which essentially means that with Transmitter Pro, you can freely choose the camera's shutter speed. The HS function optimizes the camera's shutter movement to match the flash's burn time curve, allowing shutter speeds down to 1/8000 second to be used. This technique requires using a flash with a long burn time, and in some cases, there may be a slight exposure difference in the image depending on the flash model, camera model, and subject chosen.
What is HSS?
HSS stands for High-Speed Sync. This technique means that the flash, at normal flash sync times (which vary between different camera models), only fires once. However, if a shorter shutter speed is selected, such as 1/1000 second, the flash will fire multiple times during the exposure (not visibly for the eye). This results in a very even exposure across the entire image. HSS can be used with Elinchrom flashes with built-in TTL technology.
Which Elinchrom flashes can be controlled from Transmitter Pro?
Transmitter Pro can be used with all Elinchrom flashes equipped with Skyport. To achieve bidirectional communication, the flash should have Skyport RX version or later. For optimal HS function, use flash models with a long burn time, such as D-lite RX 4, ELB 400 HS-Head, and ELB 1200 HS-Head. Flash units with standard burn times can also be used on some camera models with DX-format sensors. HSS and TTL require the Elinchrom flash to have built-in TTL, such as ELB 500 TTL.
Which cameras can be used?
For TTL/HSS and HS functions, versions adapted for each camera brand are required. Transmitter Pro can be used with all cameras equipped with a flash shoe to trigger (normal sync time) and control Elinchrom flashes.
Two AA batteries
As a power source, Skyport Transmitter Plus HS uses two AA batteries 1.5V (LR6). They are easy to obtain, with various options available.
