Our Italian Elinchrom colleague and friend Roberto from Apromastore in Milan uses his time in quarantine at home to, among other things, create fantastic images and at the same time test Elinchrom ELC.
With relatively simple means, Roberto has managed to capture unique images of water in motion by using an ordinary syringe that was filled with various water shoes (and lots of laziness we think). By using HSS technology on Elinchrom ELC, the water movements have become razor sharp.
Roberto was in his small home office. For this type of images, no large areas are needed. Because the HSS technology makes it possible to use very short shutter speeds, the general light and the lighting are dimmed before the flashes become dominant.</160;</ p>
Två light sources are used. The drops were lit obliquely from behind by Elinchrom ELC 500 with Stripbox with raster mounted.
As a background, aluminum foil illuminated with Elinchrom ELC 125 is used, provided with a standard reflector 21cm, grid 30° and white gelatin filter.
På his Nikon D850 has the Roberto Elinchrom Transmitter Pro, which makes it possible to freely choose the shutter speed down to 1/8000 second! Elinchrom ELC switches automatically to HSS when a shorter shutter speed than the camera's regular flash sync time is used. For the images below, Roberto uses shutter speed 1/8000 sec, ISO 800 and aperture f/8.0. The lens is a Sigma macro.
In the cup was milk and the drops were water, sometimes colored.
After a number of pictures, Roberto proceeded to load the syringe with coffee, which was dripped into the milk.
By strö cocoa in the cup on topå however, the images could be varied. Stylish and fun!
