Create professional product images in-house. Elinchrom Ecommerce Photography Studio is a versatile lighting kit for businesses photographing products for ecommerce, catalogues and marketing. The kit is suitable for everything from small jewellery to shoes, handbags and other products that can be photographed on a table.
Three Elinchrom ELC 500 studio flashes with Rotalux softboxes give you control over the lighting of both the product and the background. Create clean images against a white background, shape soft shadows or capture a reflection of the product on a glossy surface. The kit also includes stands, a camera transmitter, a remote control module, white shooting surfaces and a light-diffusing background material.

Flexible lighting for different products
The kit’s three Elinchrom ELC 500 studio flashes are combined with Rotalux softboxes in sizes 135 cm Octa, 90 × 110 cm and 60 × 80 cm. This combination allows you to adapt the direction and character of the light to the subject – from small details to larger products such as bags and shoes.
Flash power can be adjusted with high precision to achieve even exposure and a consistent look throughout an image series. Choose lighting with minimal shadows or use controlled shadows to emphasise the product’s shape and texture.
Stable lighting for consistent colour reproduction
Consistent colours are important when product images are displayed together in an online store or catalogue. Elinchrom studio flashes provide stable colour temperature and consistent light output, helping you achieve repeatable results from image to image.
With the right camera settings and sufficient flash power, the influence of ambient lighting can be minimised. The included grey card helps you set the camera’s white balance as part of a controlled workflow.
Choose between a matt surface and an elegant reflection
Two white shooting surfaces measuring 100 × 130 cm are included and placed on the table beneath the product. They provide two different looks:
- Colorama Colorgloss Super White: A glossy surface that creates a reflection of the product and adds depth to the image.
- Colorama Colormatte Super White: A matt surface without a distinct reflection, for clean product images that keep the focus on the subject.
By combining the surface with the right lighting, you can adapt the result to both the product and your company’s visual style.
Backlit background with adjustable brightness
The included Colorama Translum light-diffusing material is positioned a short distance behind the product table and lit from behind with one of the studio flashes. Together with the white shooting surface, it allows you to create a smooth transition between the surface and the background.
The background flash power is adjusted separately to produce a white background while maintaining control over the product’s edges. When photographing white packaging, for example, the background lighting can be reduced to create a light grey tone that helps the product stand out. Well-balanced lighting can also simplify post-processing and any background removal.
Control the lighting from the camera position
The studio flashes have built-in radio receivers and can be adjusted individually or in groups using the included Elinchrom Skyport Transmitter Plus. This allows you to fine-tune the lighting from the camera position and immediately assess how the changes affect the image.
Elinchrom Bridge is also included, enabling control from a compatible smartphone or computer using Elinchrom software. This makes it easier to adjust multiple lights and work with recurring lighting setups.
