Smart umbrella construction

The Elinchrom softbox has no loose parts without braces and the springs are joined together like this. that the softbox can easily be folded up and down.

Double diffuser cloths

It is very easy to vary the light picture thanks to double diffuser cloths and grids. With both diffuser cloths on space gives the softbox a soft light with a long distance between light and shadow. By removing the outer diffuser cloth, the crispness of the image is further improved if the softbox is used without both cloths.

Softbox with Raster

Raster comes with this softbox, which gives the lighting another dimension. By using grids, the soft light of the softbox is kept, but the light spread is more controlled. The photographer can with high precision accentuate important parts of the subject at the same time as light spills on background etc. can be avoided. By switching between one or two diffuser cloths in combination with grids, the light flux can be further changed. With grid installed, the light angle is approx. 30°.

Deep Octa 70 cm is very popular for on-location photography due to its compact size and light weight. The softbox is easy to handle on lighting boom, especially in combination with Elinchrom ELB and its light lamp heads.

Large variation of the light image

With both diffuser cloths mounted, the Deep Octa 70 cm provides a soft light which, thanks to the deep design, is easy to control and provides a high light output.
By removing the outer diffuser cloth, a slightly more crisp light is obtained with a nice shade for shadow. If both screens are removed, the light is directed and relatively hard, a bit like the light from a Beauty Dish. Combine with deflector så the hotspot is removed from the lightning tree.

Sublimate your subject

16 sides give you an almost perfect circle to achieve spectacular catchlights in the eyes. Color-coded for easy assembly and disassembly, the 16 heat-resistant, anodized rods are made out of flexible aluminum to follow the parabolic shape.

The double diffusion panels have been specialy designed to produce very soft light. The innner diffuser also incorporates a central circular panel to avoid any hotspot, thus offering the most homogenous light possible. It is possible to remove both diffusers to obtain a very crispy and contrasty light, similar to beauty dish... but in much bigger!

The fabric of the Litemotiv softboxes is unique. It offers 30% more light output than our standard Rotalux fabric, also used for Portalite, while being just as lightweight. It also offers the same distinctive Elinchrom look than our other softboxes but this fabric is heat-resistant, meaning that 650W hot lamps can be used with Litemotiv.

Designed to carry the Litemotiv 120 cm and the incredible 190 cm, this bracket takes off all stress from the unit while providing easy positioning of the light.

Broncolor Softbox 60x100 cm, without speed ring. The Compromiser: Medium size, rectangular Softbox. This offers a relatively large illuminated area and is therefore especially suitable for beauty photography, but also for homogeneously illuminated half-body exposures. Like all broncolor Softboxes, it provides exceptionally homogeneous light distribution and can, therefore, be used in product photography, for example, to achieve reflections in glossy objects.
