  • Service and Repair
    We handle everything from minor repairs to advanced service. Make sure to read our guide for the service and repair process before sending in your product. Please use our Elinchrom service form when sending a product to us.

Before sending your Elinchrom flash for service, we recommend contacting us at +46 8 720 06 45 or via email at service@aifo.se. Many issues can often be resolved by providing answers to your inquiry.
Here are some general checkpoints you can test yourself. Contact us if you need help performing these checks.

  • The flash has stopped triggering from the remote trigger
    - Does it trigger using the sender's test button but not via the camera's shutter? Check that the transmitter is correctly seated in the camera's hot shoe.
    - Ensure that the transmitter and flash are set to the same frequency/channel and group.
    - Check that the transmitter is not in Speed Mode.
    - If triggering fails occasionally, change the frequency/channel on both the transmitter and flash.
  • Unable to use HSS with Transmitter Pro
    - Verify that the transmitter is compatible with your camera; Transmitter Pro is available for Canon/Nikon/Fuji/Sony.
    - Ensure the transmitter is properly seated in the camera's hot shoe and clean the contacts.
    - Confirm that the flash is not in Action Mode (short flash duration).
    - Update both the Transmitter Pro and camera with the latest firmware versions.
  • Elinchrom ONE, THREE, and FIVE - The battery does not charge
    - Test charging with another USB-C cable and a different wall adapter.

When sending your flash to us, ensure you protect the product so that it withstands rough handling during transit. Here are some tips and advice.

  • Choose a shipping method that delivers directly to our address!
    Do not send your package to a service point. Choose a delivery method that ensures direct delivery to our service center. Unfortunately, we cannot collect shipments daily from service points, so this delivery method will result in longer service times.
    Speak to your shipping provider or contact us, and we will email you a shipping label. This shipping cost will be charged upon completion of your service case.
  • Protect your flash - Use a protective cap
    Ensure that the flash tube and modeling lamp are securely attached. Then, install an Elinchrom protective cap or a small reflector to protect the flash tube.
  • Fold in stands and tilt knobs
    Make the flash as compact as possible.
  • Choose a sturdy box with space for packing material
    Select a sturdy box and ensure there is at least 3-4 cm of space around the flash for bubble wrap or other packing material. Note that we cannot repackage your flash using the same materials you used, so do not use, for example, your favorite towel;)
  • Include our Elinchrom Service Form in the package
    Make sure to include all your contact details and a detailed description of the fault to expedite your service.
  • Seal the package well and perform a shake test
    Securely tape your package and perform a shake test to ensure the contents are well-packed and do not move inside the box.
  • Take the package to the carrier
    Bring your package to the chosen carrier and ensure the address label is securely attached to the package. We emphasize again: choose a shipping method that delivers directly to our address to avoid potential delays.
