Elinchrom Transmitter Pro Nikon - USED. Elinchrom Transmitter Pro for Nikon is an advanced transmitter that triggers and controls Elinchrom studio flashes. Easy and inspiring to shoot with Transmitter Pro
Transmitter Pro has features developed by photographers, for photographers. An LCD display shows the set output power for up to 10 Elinchrom flashes and each unit can be controlled individually or as groups. Range 200 meters outdoors and about 60 meters indoors.
Hi-Sync or High Speed Sync - Seamless flash synchronization down to 1/8000 sec
Elinchrom has flash models* adapted for HS (Hi-Sync) and other models adapted for HSS (High Speed Sync). With Transmitter Pro, both sync techniques can be easily controlled, which means that the photographer can completely focus on motifs and lighting.
Manual flash control or TTL Automatic
Elinchrom flash models with built-in TTL can either be controlled with TTL Automatic or with Manual flash control, the change is made via a simple push of a button. In TTL Mode, the flash control takes place automatically and the flash can be adjusted with 1/3 f-stops up or down. This type of flash control is excellent for event photography etc. In Manual Mode, the flash is controlled completely manually in 1/10, 1/2 or 1/1 f-stops. When shooting with multiple flashes in the same lighting, this technique is often preferred.
Large LCD Display
Transmitter Pro communicates in two ways, which means that the set output power of the flash is displayed on the remote LCD's clear LCD Display. The intensity of the flash and the switch-on lighting can be adjusted separately, in groups or jointly.
Range 200 meters
Outdoors the range is up to 200 meters and indoors about 60 meters. Thanks to as many as 20 channels, Transmitter Pro can be tuned for interference-free communication.
What is HS?
HS stands for Hi-Sync, which simply means that with Transmitter Pro you can freely choose the shutter speed on the camera. With the HS function, the camera's shutter motion is optimized for the flash duration curve so that shutter speeds as low as 1/8000 sec can be used. This technology requires you to use a flash with a long flash duration and a certain exposure difference can in some cases be seen over the image depending on the flash model, camera model and selected subject.
What is HSS?
HSS stands for High Speed Sync. This technology means that the flash fires at normal flash sync times (differs between different camera models) only once, but if you choose a shorter shutter speed, such as 1/1000 sec, the flash turns on several times during the exposure (not visible to the eye). This makes the exposure very even over the entire image surface. HSS can be used on Elinchrome flashes with built-in TTL technology.
Which Elinchrom flashes can be controlled from Transmitter Pro?
Transmitter Pro can be used with all Elinchrom flashes that have Skyport. To obtain two-way communication, the flash must have version Skyport RX or later. For optimal HS function, use flash models with a long flash duration, e.g. D-lite RX 4, ELB 400 HS-Head and ELB 1200 HS-Head. Flashes with standard flash duration can also be used on some camera models that have a DX-format sensor. For HSS and TTL it is required that the Elinchrom flash has a built-in TTL, e.g. ELB 500 TTL.
Which cameras can be used?
For TTL/HSS and HS function, a version adapted for each camera brand is required. Of course, the Transmitter Pro can be used on all cameras, equipped with flash shoes, to trigger (normal sync time) and control Elinchrom flashes.
Two AA batteries
As a power source, Transmitter Pro uses two AA batteries 1.5V (LR6). Easy to procure and there are several different variants to choose from.
