This studio variant is suitable for those who want to create professional car images and need to photograph about 2000-3000 used car images per year. In our car studio packages, we choose to use Elinchrom studio flashes as light sources. The studio flash has high brightness, which means that surrounding light does not affect the photography and provides true-to-life colors, which is very important when photographing cars. Here we present some steps that are important when you want to create a photography area suitable for car photography.

Find a local area with plenty of space
For photographing cars about 5 meters in length, a photography distance of 7-8 meters, preferably more, is recommended. The camera lens should ideally correspond to a standard lens, which means an angle of view around 45 degrees. If wide-angle lenses are used, the photography distance can be reduced, but this type of lens causes a change in perspective of the subject which can make the pictures look strange.
The ceiling height should be at least 4 meters so that the lighting is well distributed and the light hitting the subject is even.
Preferably use a corner with white walls
To make the background calm and not disturbing in the picture, it is an advantage to be able to place the car in a corner so that you can photograph from several angles without having to move the car. An extra plus is if the walls are neutrally white which means they will reflect the studio flash's light towards the car.
If possible, direct sunlight should not shine on the car through a window.
The floor should be single-colored, preferably medium gray, and easy to clean.
Camera and computer
Choose a SLR camera with normal zoom and hot shoe that can be connected to a flash transmitter. The camera should have a USB port so it can be directly connected to the computer during photography which provides an easier and better workflow.

This package includes six light sources, the studio flash Elinchrom ELC 500 and a diffuser cloth size 6x6 meters. The studio flashes are triggered by the camera via a wireless transmitter. Note that wall/ceiling stands for studio flashes or mounting frame for diffuser cloth are not included in this package. We recommend that flashes and diffuser cloth are mounted on aluminum truss, this is offered separately.
