The matt diffuser is a frosted glass which changes the fundamental light characteristics of the housed reflector. Due to the greater scattering of the light beam, the light characteristics become softer, in conjunction with all Hedler reflectors, intermediate stages of the hardness of the light can be produced. In addition, in conjunction with Hedler metal reflectors, the reflection on shiny surfaces is positively changed. The metal holder provides protection against damage to the glass and facilitates safe assembly.
