B+W Filter 550 Orange 55 x 0.75 mm MRC. Colors that appear yellow, red and orange to the human eye, easily pass through the B+W Orange MRC Filter while blue, green and violet tones are being reduced. This filter nicely increase contrast and is therefore a popular filter for black and white photography. Shooting in black and white, blue, green and violet tones turn darker than they would without a filter and yellow, red and orange are rendered in a brighter grey tone. B+W Orange filter gives a darker sky with defined clouds, adding a more dramatic look to your photos. Giving a beautiful and graphical effect, this filter is excellent for landscape and architectural photography. Because skin tones rendered by the filter color are noticeably lightened in comparison with plant greens, this filter is often used in nude photography outdoors to increase the contrast between a lighter body and the darker landscape.

Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC)
MRC by B+W is not only an extraordinarily effective multiple layer coating, it is also harder than glass, so that it protects filters from scratches (for instance when cleaning the filters), and it is also water and dirt repellent, thus facilitating filter maintenance.

Basic filter ring
Basic filter ring is durable and robust due to brass mount with a better grip due to optimized knurl. Easier mounting due to new lacquer technology. Basic filters can be used on most lenses down to 24mm, size 24x36.
