PocketWizard BT3 3 ft Trigger Button. The PocketWizard BT3 is a handheld trigger button that lets you activate a PocketWizard transmitter without touching the unit itself. Its 3 ft (91 cm) cable gives you added freedom of movement, making it especially useful for remote photography, long exposures and setups where you want to trigger a camera with one hand while working with the other.
Trigger remotely with a simple press
Connect the BT3 to your transmitting PocketWizard unit and press the button whenever you want to send a trigger signal. It gives you a simple physical control that can be positioned within easy reach, without the need to handle the radio transmitter directly.
This makes it practical for remote cameras, sports photography, specialist rigs and other setups where the camera or transmitter is not easily accessible.
3 ft cable for greater freedom of movement
The BT3 features a 3 ft cable, equivalent to approximately 91 cm. The added length makes it easier to position the trigger button where you need it and provides more flexibility than the shorter BT1 version.
It uses a 3.5 mm mono miniphone connection and operates as a single-stage trigger.
Compatibility
The PocketWizard BT3 is compatible with:
- PocketWizard Plus series
- PocketWizard MultiMAX
- PocketWizard MultiMAX II
The BT3 is not compatible with the MiniTT1, FlexTT5 or FlexTT6.
When used with the Plus IIIe, firmware version 2.740 is required on the transmitting unit because the BT3 uses a mono connection.
Remote control when direct access is impractical
The BT3 is designed for photographers who want to activate a PocketWizard transmitter from a more convenient position. It provides a simple and reliable way to work with remote cameras or other setups where fast manual triggering is important.
